Meet the Founder

As the founder of Key Properties, Kat Briggs has an inspiring story that began with a desire to travel the world. It all started when she decided to list her one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco on Airbnb so she could fund her trip to Europe after college. She got a few bookings pretty quickly and was both excited and nervous about the opportunity it presented.

In hindsight, Kat realized that she should have raised her prices, but at the time, she was thrilled with the chance to travel and see the world while managing her own property. She found a local cafe that would do a key exchange, hired a housekeeping team to assist with the turnover, and asked a neighbor and a good friend if they could help with anything if needed. Fortunately, everything went smoothly, and Kat soon realized the unique opportunity that Airbnb presented.

From there, Kat offered to help manage properties for other homeowners, and her passion for providing high-quality homes and experiences to guests grew. With over ten years of experience in the vacation rental industry, Kat has become an expert in efficient property management with technology. She has managed properties across the United States and Central America and is dedicated to sourcing only the highest quality homes and guests.

Kat is also a mother to two boys, loves to travel, enjoys playing beach volleyball, and is passionate about supporting small businesses and startups. She has made Key Properties her full-time priority and passion, and her commitment to exceptional service to homeowners and guests has made her a trusted leader in the property management industry.
